One of our favorite charities is Kristie’s Foundation. We provide media services that assist with their outreach and awareness and it is always one of the most rewarding things I get to do as a media creation artist. They are an incredible group of people.
Each year they hold an incredible fund raising event that continues to grow by leaps and bounds. This year is it’s biggest ever! Please join us in supporting this incredible organization by coming out to enjoy delicious BBQ and fabulous music. This year’s event includes performances by Sugar Ray, American Idol Top 10 Finalists Carly Smith and Ace Young, as well as Kristie’s Allstars. If you live in the Southern California area this is an excellent event to bring the entire family to-fabulous food, awesome performances, and an incredible cause. It’s the perfect mix of enjoying the day and making a difference.
“Kristie’s Foundation is dedicated to the mission of providing support, assistance and cherished moments to critically ill children and their families. Their focus is on end-of-life care for children and support for the family that loves them. Laurie Kotas, the Founder and Executive Director, was inspired by her own daughter, Kristie, who passed away from Leukemia at the young age of seven. It was Laurie’s experience during the end of Kristie’s life that encouraged her to reach out to other families going through one of the most difficult challenges imaginable: having a terminally ill or critically ill child. Kristie’s Foundation is the only comprehensive non-profit resource center in Southern California for families with a critically ill child. Kristie’s Foundation offers family fun activities, emergency financial assistance for essential needs, and emotional support. With dedicated and compassionate staff, volunteers, and parents who have experienced loss, Kristie’s Foundation provides a safe haven for families who often feel desperate and alone. Kristie’s is currently working on raising money to open Kristie’s Place, a family centered children’s hospice. Kristie’s Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.”
